**Key Responsibilities**
As an Experienced Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you'll be responsible for:
* Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
* Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience
* Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
* Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
* Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items
* Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested
* Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
* Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records
* Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
* Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
* Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
* Assisting with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
* Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products
* Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
* Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training in customer service or a related field preferred
* 1-2 years of experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in retail or healthcare
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
* Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
* Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a retail or healthcare environment, with a focus on customer service
* Knowledge of store systems and store equipment, including cash registers and inventory management software
* Basic computer skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technology
* Experience with customer service software and systems, such as CRM or ticketing systems
* Certification in customer service or a related field, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Retail Sales Associate (CRSA)
