About the Position

The Assistant, Community Relations, will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Community Relations division, ensuring the smooth execution of daily operations, and assisting in the creation and dissemination of the team's vision for social responsibility and community engagement. This role requires a high level of professionalism, technical proficiency, impeccable attention to detail, and exceptional interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is passionate about community relations, possesses excellent communication skills, and is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aid in the everyday obligations of the division, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Coordinate game day communications and logistics, including but not limited to communication with external parties and ticket distribution.
  • Manage the donation process, including receipt, inventory, and storage.
  • Oversee the production and distribution of the Community Relations newsletter and internal communications.
  • Manage the Community Relations social media channels, ensuring consistent and engaging content.
  • Handle the division's expense reports and processing.
  • Maintain all departmental calendars and ensure they are up-to-date.
  • Process office requests and direct public inquiries accordingly.
  • Ensure the Community Relations website is updated regularly and in a timely manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal clients and represent the organization to external audiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Community Relations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field, or have equivalent work experience. A minimum of 1 year of experience in community issues, cause marketing, or corporate social responsibility, as well as administrative or project/event management experience, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, with preference given to candidates with experience in Asana, Coupa, and Salesforce. The ideal candidate will also have advanced social media and marketing skills, be a self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines, and possess outstanding interpersonal skills and business acumen.
