Cyber Security Specialist

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas. We are currently looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities • Administer and secure cloud productivity platforms, identity services, and related technologies • Support compliance initiatives through documentation, control validation, and audit readiness activities • Manage user provisioning, access reviews, and identity lifecycle processes across corporate systems • Perform vulnerability management tasks including scanning, prioritization, and tracking remediation • Participate in incident response investigations, containment efforts, and root cause analysis • Assist with cloud configuration reviews and recommend improvements aligned with security best practices • Support monitoring and tuning within security event platforms to improve detection and alert accuracy • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to automate security tasks and integrate secure design principles • Contribute to security awareness efforts including phishing simulations, endpoint compliance, and reporting • Stay current with emerging threats, trends, and relevant regulatory frameworks Required Qualifications • Minimum of 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security operations, or a related field • Strong knowledge of cloud productivity administration and cloud security controls • Experience supporting or maintaining compliance controls and evidence collection processes • Proficiency in identity and access management concepts and tools • Hands-on experience with incident response, log analysis, and endpoint protection technologies • Working knowledge of security monitoring platforms, vulnerability management, and automation practices • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication abilities Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with additional cloud platforms and IAM concepts • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python • Understanding of cloud security frameworks including CIS Benchmarks or NIST CSF • Knowledge of DevOps or CI/CD security considerations • Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, cloud security fundamentals, or similar Adaptive Solutions Group offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes medical, dental, STD/LTD, life insurance coverage, 401k, paid vacation and holidays.
