Responsibilities: • Cross connecting patch panels; installing hardware and other equipment • Assisting senior network engineers to identify and resolve network security issues • Researching new technologies in order to support analysis of existing systems • Documenting network problems and resolution for future reference • Bidding and pricing network related projects with senior engineers Qualifications: Education and Experience: • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) B.S. and 0+ Years of Relevant Experience Required Working Knowledge: • Network + Firewalls and VPN solutions Cisco routers and switches of various models • Must be able to configure wireless devices • Systems: Windows, Cisco Systems, UNIX, • Networking: Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, SNMP, STP, DNS • Familiar with operating systems such as Unix and Microsoft Additional Qualifications: • Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills. • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams. • Strong analytical skills, time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives. • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus. Abilities • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time. • Sitting for extended periods of time. • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction. • Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard. • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. • Identify and understand the speech of another person.
