[Remote] Power BI Developer/Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Vantage Point Consulting Inc. is seeking an experienced Power BI developer/Analyst for one of their key accounts in the USA. The role involves transforming manual Excel reporting processes into a centralized, automated BI solution using Power BI, including building data models and developing dashboards. Responsibilities • Understand existing Excel reports, formulas, macros, pivot logic, and business rules. • Document reporting logic, KPIs, metrics, and data definitions. • Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and identify improvement areas. • Ingest data from Excel, SQL databases, or other source systems into Power BI. • Write DAX measures to replicate or improve current Excel calculations. • Design intuitive, interactive Power BI dashboards and paginated reports. • Apply best practices for UX, visual design, and performance. • Ensure business logic aligns with the original Excel reports • Publish reports to Power BI Service workspaces, manage access, and set up RLS if needed. • Ensure data pipelines eliminate manual effort currently required in Excel. • Conduct user training on new Power BI dashboards. Skills • 6-8 + years of experience with PowerBI • Expertise in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting • Experience with Azure • Good understanding of Excel logic, including formulas, pivots, and macros • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, debugging and communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment • Experience in Azure – Data Factory, Fabric • Setting up and management of Power BI Report Server • Exposure to Python or R for advanced analytics Company Overview • Established in 2009, Vantage Point Consulting has provided Staffing and Software Solutions to the US market.
