About the position
Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain the information security program at Sutter Health affiliates.
• Identify, evaluate, and report on information security risks to meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Work with business units to implement practices that align with defined policies and standards for information security.
• Collaborate with affiliate and enterprise leadership to determine acceptable levels of risk and report on variance.
• Maintain knowledge of the business environment and ensure ongoing security controls are upheld.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business, Management, Information Technology, or related field.
• CISSP certification within 1 year of hire.
• 12 years of recent relevant experience in information security.
• Knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, group policy, DNS, encryption, and patch management.
• Experience with LAN, WAN, VPN, routers, firewalls, servers, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, and workstation administration.
• Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements including SOX and HIPAA.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Experience in healthcare operations and related IT needs.
• Ability to develop and report on metrics related to information security.
