Course Description: Public Policy Design (Public Policy and Data Analytics Program) Wake Forest University School of Professional Studies is seeking highly qualified candidates to develop and teach the Public Policy Design course in the online Master of Public Policy and Data Analytics program. The ideal candidate is a professional who understands the theory and practice of Public Policy and Data Analytics, along with recent trends and innovations in the industry. This course will teach the core principles of policy-making, emphasizing evidence-based strategies informed by robust data analytics and grounded in public law. Students will discuss ethics in the public sector, focusing on legal frameworks and ethical considerations that guide decision- making processes Students meet face-to-face in a virtual classroom environment weekly over an academic term, providing them the opportunity to reinforce coursework materials, apply academic concepts, and participate in focused discussions with faculty and colleagues. Faculty Qualifications: • Master's degree in program field or related degree. Terminal degree preferred • 3+ years of experience in university-level teaching. Preferred applicants also will have a demonstrated ability to deliver graduate-level, online course experiences that are valued by industry. With the targeted audience for this program being adult students pursuing career growth, the University seeks to hire colleagues who are highly skilled in and/or highly attuned to adult learning best practices. • 5+ years industry experience. Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence and an ability to integrate ethical concepts and broad understandings of diversity.
