[Remote] LARAVEL DEVELOPER

The Laravel Developer will focus on designing and building web applications using Laravel, converting PSDs into responsive sites, and integrating data with various systems.

Responsibilities

• Working daily in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, JQuery, WordPress, Laravel, and Magento 1/2
• Designing and building web applications using Laravel and other platforms
• Converting PSDs into pixel perfect responsive Laravel and custom PHP sites
• Resolving cross-browser compatibility issues
• Writing clean structured and well-documented code
• Integrating data with Sage, Quickbooks, WordPress, Salesforce, APIs, and ERP/stock management systems
• Working with LEMP development environment and version control GIT/SVN

Skills

• An expertise in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, and CSS3
• The ability to convert PSDs to Laravel and PHP sites
• The ability to work in a LEMP development environment
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles
• Solid fundamentals: MVC architecture, OOP, Eloquent ORM, Blade, routing/middleware, Composer
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs (JSON responses, versioning, authentication)
• Database design experience (MySQL/PostgreSQL), migrations, query optimization, relationships
• Awareness of web security best practices (SQL injection, XSS/CSRF mitigation, secure authentication)
• Strong testing mindset (unit/feature tests with PHPUnit or Pest)
• The ability to handle multiple projects and tasks at the same time
• Great attention to detail and a highly organized work style
• A reliable workstation with a fast computer, microphone, and speakers for calls
• Reliable internet and power (maximum of 1 hour of outage per month)
• The ability to work hours similar to the rest of the Coalition Team (9:00am-6:00pm PT)
• The ability to articulate yourself professionally
• Excellent written and spoken English
• The ability to adapt in a diverse and multicultural environment

• A portfolio with live links to sites that you have developed previously
• Laravel experience
• Expertise in other platforms such as WordPress
• Bonus skills: Experience with modern front-end collaboration: working with JS frameworks (Vue.js/React) or TALL stack (Tailwind + Alpine + Livewire) a plus
• Deployment experience: Docker, CI/CD pipelines, cloud hosting (AWS/GCP/DigitalOcean) a plus
