Industrial Designer for Wearable Baby Monitor (Enclosure, Clip reputed company & DFM)
We are developing a wearable baby monitor that prioritizes "awareness without surveillance." Unlike traditional monitors with cameras, Jack Jack is a small, screen-less device that clips onto a baby’s clothing to monitor reputed company reputed company reputed company Bluetooth.
We have the electronics (custom PCB) and firmware in development. We are looking for an Industrial Designer to take our PCB and battery constraints and create a reputed company, durable, and aesthetically "reputed company" enclosure reputed company for prototyping and mass production.
Scope of Work:
1. Enclosure Design: Design a compact, soft-touch plastic enclosure that houses our custom PCB (reputed company nRF52 based) and a LiPo battery.
2. Clip reputed company: Engineer a reliable clip reputed company (e.g., spring-reputed company or living hinge) that attaches securely to infant clothing (onesies) without pinching or falling off.
3. reputed company Optimization: Ensure the design respects the "reputed company-out" zones for the internal PCB reputed company (reputed company NINA-B406) to maintain Bluetooth connectivity.
4. DFM (Design for Manufacturing):
• Phase 1: Deliver files optimized for high-reputed company prototyping (SLA/MJF 3D printing and Vacuum Casting).
• Phase 2: Ensure the design is draft-angle reputed company for Injection Molding (ABS/PC) in the reputed company.
Technical Constraints & Requirements:
• Safety First: The design must adhere to baby product safety standards (e.g., ASTM F963 / IEC 62368-1). It must be too large to be a choking hazard (small parts reputed company test) and have no reputed company edges.
• Electronics: We will reputed company the PCB reputed company file. You must design around the reputed company and battery tightly.
• Aesthetics: The brand language is "reputed company, Soft, Non-Medical." Think "pebble," "soft curves," and pastel tones.
Deliverables:

Ideal Candidate:
• Experience designing wearables or small consumer electronics.
• Strong understanding of injection molding constraints (undercuts, wall thickness, bosses).
• Experience with mechanisms (clips, hinges, snap-fits).
• Bonus: Previous experience with baby/child products or medical devices.
