Care Partner (Clinical Exercise Physiologist – Independent Contractor)

Location: South Florida (Fort Lauderdale / Miami area) Status: Independent Contractor (1099) Compensation: $150- $175 per session Workload: 2-3 sessions/week per client; (1–3 clients max caseload) About Stamina Wellness Stamina Wellness is a functional rehabilitation and care-navigation practice supporting former professional athletes, individuals recovering from neurological injuries, and clients requiring high-touch therapeutic support. Position Overview We are seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP) to join our team as a Care Partner for clients in the South Florida region. This role is ideal for an experienced clinician who excels in one-on-one restorative care, enjoys flexible scheduling, and values meaningful long-term client relationships. This is a 1099 independent contractor role. You will be matched with 1–3 clients in your area and deliver approximately 2- 3 sessions per week (per client), based on client needs. Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Clinical Care • Deliver safe, structured 60-minute functional rehabilitation sessions in the client’s home. • Design individualized exercise and mobility programs based on client goals, comorbidities, and movement limitations. • Monitor cardiovascular, muscular, and neurological responses during sessions and adjust interventions accordingly. • Support clients with fall prevention, gait training, functional mobility, conditioning, and breathing/mechanical efficiency. Documentation & Communication • Complete clinical documentation after each session using Practice Better (HIPAA-compliant EMR). • Report clinical concerns, progress, or risk factors to the Stamina Wellness leadership team. • Maintain accurate session logs for billing purposes. Client Support & Advocacy • Provide education on pacing, exercise safety, lifestyle modifications, and recovery strategies. • Serve as a compassionate support partner during goal-setting and care navigation. Required Qualifications Education & Certification • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field. • Active ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP) credential required. • CPR/AED Certification required. Experience • Minimum 5–10+ years experience in clinical settings such as: • Neurological rehab • Cardiac rehab • Chronic disease management • Functional mobility training • Experience working with high-risk or medically complex clients is strongly preferred. Skills • Strong clinical judgment, safety awareness, and adaptability. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. • High emotional intelligence and compassion. • Ability to work autonomously. Independent Contractor Requirements Insurance • Active liability insurance (minimum $1M/$3M coverage). • Ability to provide COI upon onboarding. Equipment Care Partner must own or acquire basic mobile rehab equipment, including: • Resistance bands • Light dumbbells • Gait belt • Portable step or balance tools • Blood pressure cuff + stethoscope • Pulse oximeter (Stamina provides guidance on recommended brands.) Technology • Smartphone with reliable internet • Ability to use Practice Better for charting • Ability to join virtual check-ins with leadership Compensation Per-Session Pay Model • Industry standard for CEPs: $20–$33 per hour • Stamina Wellness rate: $150- $175 per session (experience-based) • Paid bi-weekly as a 1099 contractor • Additional compensation for urgent sessions or expanded service plans Schedule & Coverage Area • Sessions are primarily weekdays, scheduled collaboratively with clients. • Average: 2- 3 sessions per week for each client • Coverage: Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Hollywood, Plantation, Aventura and nearby areas.
