Summary This is a remote work at home opportunity in the US (Must be able to work & cover Pacific Time zone hours). We can sponsor H1B candidates but cannot consider C2C resources. Snowflake Data Engineering: • Hands-on Experience with Snowflake: Develop, manage, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Matillion, including data extraction, loading, and transformation to ensure pipeline reliability and performance. • DBT & Data Transformation: Utilize DBT for complex data transformations in Snowflake, creating modular SQL scripts aligned with business needs. Experience in defining reusable DBT models is crucial. • Migration Experience: Proven track record of migrating from systems like SAP HANA to Snowflake, ensuring seamless data transitioning and minimal disruption to ongoing operations. • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Snowflake for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Data Warehousing & Performance Optimization: • Implement optimized Snowflake data warehousing solutions using multi-cluster warehouses, partitioning, and clustering keys for enhanced performance and cost efficiency. • Apply performance tuning techniques like query optimization, caching, and materialized views to maintain high performance as data scales. Collaboration & Best Practices: • Collaborate with data architects and analysts to design data models aligned with business objectives and best practices. • Implement data governance for secure, reliable, and compliant data pipelines. • Apply version control in DBT and Matillion for documented and reversible development efforts. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including implementing CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake development. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Technical Expertise: 5-8+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake Data Engineering and migration from systems like SAP HANA. • Proven ability to design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data solutions. • Proficiency in DBT and Matillion for scalable data transformation pipelines. • In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, query performance tuning, and data modeling. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Passion for learning and implementing new technologies. Technologies & Tools: • Experience with SAP HANA Studio, WebIDE, SDI, SDQ, and BODS is nice to have for understanding legacy systems. • Familiarity with advanced HANA features like XS Classic, HANA Rules Framework, and Agile Data Prep is beneficial. • Knowledge in integrating with UI5 and SAP Analytics Cloud to enhance user experiences and dashboards from legacy systems. Salary Range: The base salary range for this position is $ 91,457 to $137,186, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
