Vendor Management Specialist
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Vendor Management Specialist to oversee and optimize our vendor relationships within our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in sourcing, procurement, and supplier management to ensure the seamless flow of materials and services essential for manufacturing and business continuity. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced ERP systems and contribute to the efficiency of our procurement processes.
Duties
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract negotiation to secure optimal terms and pricing.
• Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to manage procurement activities, inventory control, and supply chain data.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with contracts and performance standards.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, monitor vendor performance, and implement strategies for continuous improvement in vendor management.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, logistics, and inventory teams to align procurement activities with production schedules and inventory needs.
• Analyze market trends and supply chain data to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to optimize value while maintaining quality standards.
• Oversee logistics coordination related to inbound shipments, inventory management, and supply chain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in procurement management, vendor management, or supply chain roles.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS.
• Familiarity with procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, contract negotiation, and inventory management.
• Experience with MRP systems, logistics coordination, and supply chain optimization.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to develop mutually beneficial supplier agreements.
• Strong analytical skills for market analysis, pricing strategies, and performance metrics.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder collaboration across manufacturing, logistics, and finance teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus. This role is vital in ensuring efficient procurement operations that support manufacturing excellence while fostering strong supplier partnerships through effective contract management and negotiation strategies.
