Cyber Security Consultant (Remote – Occasional travel)

Job Title: Cyber Security Consultant Location: North of Boston MA Duration: 6+ Months Type: Long-Term Contract Remote job, 2 interviews, 1 with Sr VP and 2nd with staff Need to come office if required for meetings - expenses will be paid Remote Job Summary: • We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to and support enterprise-level security initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Risk Assessment, Compliance Frameworks, NIST Standards, Vulnerability Management, Threat Analysis, and Intrusion Detection. This role involves ensuring compliance with security regulations, identifying and mitigating risks, and strengthening our overall security posture. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and other applicable frameworks. • Implement and manage vulnerability scanning, patch management processes, and remediation tracking. • Perform threat detection, analysis, and response, leveraging security monitoring tools and intrusion detection systems. • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation in alignment with compliance requirements. • Collaborate with IT, business, and compliance teams to address identified risks and ensure security best practices. • Investigate and respond to security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and recommending preventive measures. • Support security awareness programs to educate staff on risk mitigation and compliance requirements. • Provide security guidance for projects, architecture reviews, and change management processes. “Cleo Consulting is an equal opportunity employer (Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled)” Apply tot his job Apply tot his job Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
