[Remote] Clinic Scheduler- Part Time | Remote

The Clinic Scheduler is responsible for scheduling medical appointments, answering calls, and managing patient information efficiently.
Responsibilities
• Schedules medical appointments through coordination of patients, providers, locations, payers, etc
• Receives and initiates calls to and from patients, providers, outside provider offices, while following established scheduling procedures and protocols
• Appropriately schedules appointments, tests and/or procedures, leveraging the electronic health record (EHR) scheduling software
• Promptly answers incoming calls in a professional manner and scheduling of patient appointments
• Obtains patient demographics with accuracy to include but not limited to patient address information, telephone number and insurance information from the patient
• Manages electronic requests through drop box and patient portals to schedule appointments
• Distributes faxes helps manage needed requests
Skills
• 2 years administration or similar experience
• Must be HIPAA compliant
• Previous medical office experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations
