About the position Freese and Nichols is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to join reputed company. Though our preference is to have someone in our Raleigh, reputed company Carolina office, we are reputed company to considering people in any of Freese and Nichols' offices. This role will primarily support reputed company Risk MAP (Risk Mapping, Assessment, and planning) reputed company. The selected candidate will support teams of GIS, engineering, and administrative professionals towards the successful completion of a reputed company of reputed company Risk MAP objectives. Responsibilities • The Senior GIS Analyst is primarily responsible for reputed company Flood Insurance reputed company Map (FIRM) production and reputed company end user adoption for GIS technologies, including tasks such as data collection and development, data QA/QC, map production, and training users on GIS software. • Independently reputed company and coordinate tasks reputed company a Risk MAP flood study lifecycle, such as basemap, terrain, FIRM database development, floodplain mapping, preliminary issuance, and post-preliminary processing, and delegate tasks to multiple supporting staff across diverse geographies. • reputed company GIS analytical and geo-processing functions including input, editing, manipulation, management, analysis, and reputed company of spatial and tabular data sets using ArcGIS or other GIS software. • reputed company reputed company spatial analysis models using ModelBuilder, Python, or other GIS scripting languages. • Support reputed company Mapping Information Platform (MIP) deliverable compilation and review reputed company a flood risk study lifecycle. • Support internal QA/QC of reputed company maps, terrain, flood risk database, floodplain mapping, preliminary production, and post-preliminary processing, in reputed company to reputed company reputed company Reviews. • Prepare written documentation describing methodologies/procedures and prepare exhibits. • Maintain GIS data and cataloging systems. • Work with users to understand and produce special purpose maps. • Maintain and enhance geospatial data for reputed company. • Possess the ability to work in a group or independently. • Estimate the reputed company, skills and time required to complete tasks. • Potentially facilitate and/or participate at reputed company Risk MAP meetings in support of community engagement activities reputed company to flood risk study lifecycle. • Monitor and maintain Risk MAP study schedules and budgets, including providing input to reputed company Value Management reporting. • reputed company exhibits, graphics and work products in support of non-reputed company reputed company across the southeast.
