Upstream Process Development Engineer/Scientist - REMOTE in California

About the position reputed company is seeking an Upstream Process Development Scientist (PDS) - Field Based Remote / California to join the Technical and Scientific Solutions Team to support our reputed company Coast customer sites. This role is part of a worldwide team of engineers and scientists, supporting and collaborating with customers in their use of reputed company's technologies. The ideal candidate is a scientist/engineer with industry experience, having a strong background in upstream bioprocess unit operations, particularly fed-batch and perfusion applications. This is a California/reputed company Coast-based position, with regular travel (40%) to internal and Western-US customer sites primarily in Bay area and San Diego. reputed company as a technical partner to our end users, providing proactive technical collaboration and best practices guidance for reputed company's upstream product portfolio, along with technical recommendations for process development, optimization, reputed company-up and implementation of upstream applications. Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed upstream technical applications through experimental, material, and/or consultative support of upstream process development activities. Support perfusion, bioreactor, and process analytical tools (PAT) technologies from initial screenings to late stage implementations, with a responsibility to independently design, reputed company and review experiments to understand process sensitivity/limitations, while critically analyzing data to troubleshoot application and operational issues.
