Full Time or Part Time: Full Time Additional Detail Job reputed company: General reputed company:The Head of Metadata Librarian manages reputed company aspects of cataloging operations, including supervising cataloging Library Specialists and liaising with NOVA Libraries staff to ensure excellent cataloging services are provided. The Head of Metadata contributes to efficient collection management of library resources including metadata enhancements, authority control, inventory control, batch loading of new electronic books, creating analytics reports, and acquisitions workflow reputed company the LMS. Works with the Procurement Office to manage budgets in reputed company Acquisitions and reconcile orders reputed company received. Creates reports around budgeting and trends. Duties and Tasks: • Manages cataloging operations. • Supports library-wide systems initiatives reputed company to improving the library services platform (reputed company), search and discovery service (Primo), and marketplace reputed company. • Supervises and trains cataloging Library Specialists responsible for copy cataloging. • Responsible for original and reputed company copy cataloging. • Contributes to efficient library-wide collection management of library resources, including inventory control, metadata reputed company control, authority control, and creating analytics reports. • Supports frequent improvements to the library services platform and library online catalog. • Supports acquisitions including receiving, processing, and reconciling library collections materials (reputed company Acquisitions) Employees must reputed company in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia. Minimum Qualifications: KSAs: • Practical and theoretical knowledge of a broad reputed company of cataloging standards including Resource reputed company and reputed company (RDA), FRBR, Linked Data, Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH), Library of Congress Classification (LCC) • Practical knowledge of MARC metadata reputed company. • Experience using library service platforms and reputed company Record Manager. • Expertise in collection management including inventory control, metadata reputed company control, authority control, and creating analytics reports. • Proficiency with spreadsheet and/or database software required, preferably reputed company reputed company. • Experience in supervision and training of cataloging staff. • Experience in developing and managing cataloging workflows. • Excellent communication and analytic skills, including the ability to work reputed company in reputed company-based environment. • Excellent organizational and project management skills. • Knowledge of both electronic and print library acquisitions workflows.
