Responsibilities • Reviews patient medical records for inpatient accounts. • Assigns ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes to reputed company accounts, following official coding guidelines. • Communicates with providers and clinical team members to obtain additional information and documentation needed for accurate coding. • Manages follow-up work queues to ensure reputed company coding completion. • Participates in ongoing education for ICD-10 updates and regulatory compliance. • Utilizes reputed company 360 encoder for coding tasks. Requirements • High school diploma or GED. • Two years of hospital day inpatient coding experience. • Diploma/certificate in coding: reputed company (Certified Coding Specialist), COC (Certified Outpatient reputed company), CIC (Certified Inpatient reputed company), or RHIT (Registered Health Information Technologist).
