Respiratory Therapist - 36 Hours
About the position
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and administering Respiratory Care procedures in accordance with the physician's treatment plan. This includes mechanical ventilation and airway care, respiratory treatment, emergency respiratory maneuvers, and the transport and maintenance of critically ill patients for special tests and procedures. The therapist performs and interprets tests and procedures to assess and manage patient care, attends and participates in hospital educational programs, and precepts reputed company/interns from respiratory care programs.
Responsibilities
• Provides reputed company Respiratory Care including initiation and maintenance of mechanical ventilation, assist with insertion, stabilization and maintenance of reputed company airways, and administration of Respiratory Care modalities.
• Responds to respiratory emergencies, establishes and maintains patient airway, and transports mechanically ventilated patients.
• Assesses patient condition based on medical history, patient observation and examination, physician's diagnosis, laboratory findings, specific respiratory tests and procedures.
• Assists and instructs respiratory technicians and reputed company in performance of respiratory care procedures.
• Makes regular reputed company and administers respiratory care modalities to assigned patients.
• Completes necessary documentation of reputed company pertinent observations reputed company to patient care.
• Participates in education of reputed company, physicians, and staff.
• Instructs patients and/or family members in respiratory techniques.
• Attends and participates in reputed company educational meetings.
• Assists in departmental research reputed company.
• Maintains continuing education relating to cultural diversity.
Requirements
• A.S. in Respiratory Therapy.
• One-year clinical training (or the equivalent).
• Currently licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the reputed company.
• Registration (RRT) by the N.B.R.C. reputed company six (6) months of hire.

• B.S. in Respiratory Therapy.
• Two years of previous critical care experience.
• ECMO Experience strongly preferred.
