About the Role
Data has revolutionized the way arenaflex operates, and the role of a data engineer is crucial in harnessing the power of data to make it accessible, available, and curated for reporting and analysis. As a Data Entry and Operations Analytics Professional, you will be part of the Operations Analysis and Performance (OAP) department, responsible for curating Single Source of Truth data tables, generating and distributing automated reporting, and leading efforts to transition to modern data and reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate and extract data from various sources for use in analysis, models, and project development.
- Clean and curate datasets by studying new data sources and collaborating with different business units to determine the best source of data, aggregating views into meaningful hierarchies.
- Familiarize yourself with data environments and collaborate to enhance automated reports and analyses in support of divisional leaders and business units.
- Leverage emerging technologies and proactively explore efficient and meaningful ways to communicate data and analysis to meet divisional needs.
- Support strategy development and project management engagements for individual business units and cross-divisional initiatives.
- Train and mentor other team members in various skills and subjects.
- Practice security-aware behaviors in all operational techniques and procedures.
- Have a team-first mindset with the success of our team and business partners as the top priority.
- Be intellectually curious, ask questions, and communicate when you have an idea.
- Experience working in high-profile environments with fluid priorities, ambiguity, and competitive deadlines.
Essential Qualifications
- 3+ years of associated experience.
- Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT patterns.
- Proficiency with Python, SAS, or other comparable tools and programming languages.
- Ability to troubleshoot a reporting database environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and manage multiple requests with varying timelines.
- Self-starter with a resilient, solution-minded approach to complex problems, working individually or in a team.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal information.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, or other applicable quantitative field.
- Previous experience in the industry.
- Working knowledge of and/or experience with cloud-based solutions (i.e., Azure, AWS, GPC, etc.).
