Key Responsibilities and Expectations

As a data entry specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

  • Understanding in-depth both the business and technical issues that our data management systems aim to solve.
  • Building tools, platforms, and pipelines to enable teams to clearly and neatly analyze data, build models, and drive decisions.
  • Scaling from "computer scale" to "cluster scale" issues, in terms of both infrastructure and problem architecture and strategy.
  • Collaborating across teams to drive the generation of data-driven operational insights that mean high-value streamlined solutions.
  • Delivering substantial value quickly, working together with different teams of changing foundations and disciplines.
  • Organizing best practices for future reuse as open, reusable templates, patterns, and code bases.
  • Collaborating with senior technologists from the broader project and beyond arenaflex (partner environments and clients) to create collaborations and ensure smooth solutions to downstream operational systems.
  • Expertise/Knowledge of an Or more, including technical foundation in software engineering, programming, database systems, and distributed systems.
  • Sharp understanding of the transportation and logistics space with the ability to identify high-opportunity areas and design approaches and solutions that produce and capture value.
  • Development experience in and knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated expertise in building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Creating and operationalizing functions and solutions involving under close to real-time high-volume streaming conditions.
  • Agile development skills with the ability to work at the code level and help troubleshoot hard-to-determine issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver technical projects, often working under close time limits to deliver value.
  • An 'engineering' mindset, able to make fast, even-minded decisions to improve performance and accelerate progress.
  • Comfort with working with distributed teams on code-based expectations, using version control systems and code reviews.
  • DevOps: regarding technology, should have all the knowledge like coding, scripting, database, yaml, json, and IaC (Terraform).
  • Exhibited mastery working with a portion of the following common languages and tools: Spark (Scala and PySpark), HDFS, Kafka, and other high-volume data tools.
  • SQL and NoSQL storage devices, like MySQL, Postgres, Cassandra, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch.
  • Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, TensorFlow, Jupyter, and other Python data tools.
