Position: Medical Laboratory Scientist/ Medical Laboratory Technician Overview Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a lab tech to work full time nights (Third shift) in the clinical lab. Sign on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified candidates! Responsibilities • Perform laboratory tests • Interpret results; document and report results • Maintain department equipment, instruments, and tools Education • Bachelor's in medical technology or Biology/Chemical Science • Associate's degree in Medical Technology Certification/Licensure • ASCP or AMT certification (AAB certification for MLS only) • Eligible for certification Sentara Leigh Hospital Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. Our hospital completed a renovation in 2016, including two new patient towers, a beautiful atrium, and a multi-story parking garage.
