YouTube Channel Manager Needed for New Business & M&A Channel (Launch Phase)
We are launching a new YouTube channel focused on business ownership, selling businesses, M&A insights, and exit planning, and we’re looking for an experienced YouTube Channel Manager to help build, manage, and grow the channel from the ground up.
We’re looking for someone who understands YouTube as a growth platform, including optimization, consistency, analytics, and audience development.
The content (scripts and videos) will be provided. Two episodes are ready now and planning two per month or more. Your role is to ensure the channel launches professionally, grows strategically, and follows YouTube best practices from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Setup & Launch
Optimize channel branding (banner, About section, playlists)
Ensure consistent formatting across titles, descriptions, and thumbnails
Help establish posting cadence and launch strategy
Video Publishing & Optimization
Upload weekly long-form videos and short-form clips
Write and optimize:
Video titles
Descriptions
Tags / keywords
Chapter markers (timestamps)
Ensure SEO optimization for discoverability
Upload and schedule YouTube Shorts from long-form content
Thumbnail Coordination
Coordinate with designer or create thumbnails yourself
Optimize thumbnail headlines for CTR
Audience Growth & Engagement
Post and manage pinned comments
Monitor and respond to comments (as directed)
Encourage likes, subscriptions, and engagement
Help establish tone and brand voice for the channel
Analytics & Performance Tracking
Track key metrics:
Click-through rate (CTR)
Watch time
Audience retention
Subscriber growth
Provide brief weekly or bi-weekly performance summaries
Recommend optimizations based on performance data
Short-Form Strategy
Create and manage a YouTube Shorts strategy
Identify the best moments to clip from long-form videos
Optimize captions and hooks for Shorts
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience managing or growing YouTube channels
Strong understanding of YouTube SEO and algorithm behavior
Experience launching new channels is a big plus
Ability to work independently and hit deadlines
Clear communication and attention to detail
Familiarity with business, finance, or professional services content preferred (but not required)
Nice to Have
Experience with business, finance, M&A, or professional services channels
Knowledge of YouTube Studio analytics
Experience creating Shorts that drive subscribers
Thumbnail design skills (Canva, Photoshop, etc.)
