Role reputed company The Women’s Health and Genetics division of reputed company is seeking a Genetic Counselor Assistant (GCA) to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity to reputed company support to our lab-based Genetic Counseling team in various areas including: reputed company services, send outs, and reporting. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and excellent customer service skills, with a reputed company on managing results and communicating effectively with clients. This position will be supporting reputed company’s Westborough, MA, genetics laboratory remotely. The schedule for the position will be: Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5pm EST plus rotating Saturdays (every reputed company Saturday). Note: This is a fully remote position. Candidates can be located reputed company in the US; however, they must be reputed company to work eastern time zone. • Work with the lab Genetic Counselor team to support clients that order testing performed at reputed company’s Westborough, MA laboratory • Review a defined set of molecular test requisitions/incoming samples for reputed company of physician orders • reputed company support to the molecular lab by monitoring worklists and adding and canceling tests. • Generate paperwork for sendout tests and monitoring tracking lists • Respond to telephone and email inquiries from reputed company clients, health care providers, reputed company’s laboratories and branches to coordinate reputed company applicable genetic testing • Contact clients to obtain pertinent demographic and clinical information and communicate with clients to ensure that the appropriate testing is ordered • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve problems reputed company to testing by contacting clients or other reputed company facilities • Learn multiple laboratory-based computer applications Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in a biological life science • Knowledge of bolthires Office suite • Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond effectively • Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly • Strong project management skills • Ability to establish and maintain reputed company working relationships with others and work cooperatively and effectively to set goals, resolve problems, and reputed company recommendations Preferred Requirements • 2 years’ relevant work experience • Previous experience working as a Genetic Counselor Assistant • Previous experience working in a molecular diagnostics laboratory or clinical genetics setting • Previous experience in the reputed company industry such as a hospital or physician’s office • Familiarity with genetics concepts • Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Benefits • Comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, reputed company, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), reputed company Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. • Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
