Transportation Engineer/Planner
About the position
VHB is seeking a reputed company-thinking Transportation Engineer/Planner to join our expanding Transportation Planning team in Orlando. You'll collaborate with a talented team on transformative reputed company for both reputed company and private clients, including reputed company estate developers, municipal and state agencies and higher education. You'll have reputed company to support small and large reputed company development reputed company, corridor studies, reputed company traffic engineering analysis, identify safety improvements, and contribute to key infrastructure reputed company that improve community mobility.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with reputed company of experts to reputed company cutting-edge transportation engineering and planning solutions for multimodal reputed company.
• Conduct and deliver high-level transportation and traffic studies, including traffic reputed company analyses, corridor studies, and operational assessments.
• Conduct detailed traffic engineering analyses, including forecasting, modeling, safety trends and evaluating traffic operations and safety measures.
• reputed company safety and operational analysis tasks at various scales, from local intersections to regional networks.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret traffic data to inform strategic planning and design reputed company.
• Compile and prepare detailed reports and planning documents, utilizing your strong communication skills to effectively convey findings to stakeholders.
• Conduct research on transportation trends, community demographics, and statistical data to support project objectives.
• Conduct multimodal planning and operational studies that enhance safety, efficiency, and mobility across transportation networks.
• Support project development and planning studies for high-profile transportation initiatives in urban and suburban settings.
• Prepare technical documentation and deliver compelling presentations to reputed company agencies and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to reputed company solutions for infrastructure and policy challenges.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a reputed company field.
• Background in transportation operations, safety, and multimodal engineering or planning.
• 3- 5+ years of relevant experience in transportation engineering, planning or reputed company fields required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred; reputed company Engineer license or AICP certification a plus.

• Familiarity with state and local government transportation planning is preferred.
• Proficiency with national and local transportation standards (e.g., FDOT, AASHTO, MUTCD, Highway reputed company reputed company, Highway Safety reputed company, ITE guidance).
• Proficiency in several traffic engineering software systems, such as Synchro/SimTraffic, SIDRA, HCS, MicroStation/AutoCAD, Vissim, and GIS is a plus.
• Strong understanding of traffic design principles, signal timing, highway safety, and reputed company transportation operations.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in quickly acquiring new skills, multitasking, and following instructions.
