Key Responsibilities
- Listen carefully and evaluate each caller's situation to provide appropriate solutions and resolve each call efficiently
- Exhibit a high degree of caring and empathy on each call, and handle stressful situations in a calming manner
- Provide support for a range of safety services, including Emergency Assistance, Automatic Collision Notification, Hands-free Destination Assist, Stolen Vehicle Locator, and more
- Multi-task to find answers while on the call with the customer
- React and respond decisively in emergency situations
- Reassure, control, and diffuse emotional and/or difficult calls
Schedule and Compensation
We offer flexible schedule opportunities, with client hours of operation open 24x7. You can choose from day, night, and weekend hours to suit your needs. Our contractors are guaranteed a minimum of 45 minutes per available hour, with a contract rate of $0.28 per customer interaction minute. This translates to an equivalent of $12.60 - $16.80 per hour. Bilingual contractors will earn a rate of $0.31 per customer interaction minute, with a 48-minute minimum guarantee, and can expect to earn an equivalent of $14.88 - $18.60 per hour.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A caring, sympathetic, and helpful demeanor
- Strong customer service skills, including active listening
- Ability to multi-task and find answers while on the call with the customer
- Ability to react and respond decisively in emergency situations
- Ability to reassure, control, and diffuse emotional and/or difficult calls
- Prior experience with driver assistance programs is a bonus, but not required
- Fluency in English, with bilingual contractors required to be fluently bilingual in Spanish and English or French and English
Tech Requirements
To work with us, you will need:
- A quiet, uninterrupted environment during all working hours
- A broadband internet connection, recommended at least 10 MBPS
- A wired internet connection for tech setups, education classes, and work
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system
- Valid antivirus software installed, running, and up to date
- A wired USB headset with microphone (gaming headsets not accepted)
- A smartphone, Android tablet, or iPad, and be willing to install an authentication app related to program work
