Job Overview

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for experienced customer service professionals to join our team as a Remote Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support and hospitality to our customers, ensuring that their needs are met, and their expectations are exceeded. This is a full-time position, working 8 hours a day, with a competitive salary of $27 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer comfortable support to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers
  • Work in a collaborative spirit to ensure the success of our organization
  • Provide amazing customer service to individuals seeking to travel, use freight or baggage services by handling their needs
  • Handle all aspects of ticketing and check-in by operating an automated retail system, boarding, baggage services, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues
  • Greet and handle customers in a respectful and friendly manner
  • Handle cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets
  • Process charges, make change, and balance daily transactions
  • Check in baggage and freight
  • Answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page customers, resolve issues or complaints, and assist as needed
  • Handle transactions required to board the aircraft in an efficient and timely manner
  • Manage upset customers due to oversells, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage
  • Provide current and accurate fare, schedule, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answer general questions from customers and other airport visitors
  • Complete forms and reports as required by the organization
  • Prepare irregularity and complaint reports as needed

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree and have excellent communication and customer service skills. You should be able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field would be highly beneficial. You should also be proficient in using computer systems, including automated retail systems, and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Skills and Competencies

To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies:

  • Ability to type or use a computer keyboard with adequate speed to meet the needs of the job
  • Able to read documents, follow instructions, learn and understand ticketing procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful conditions
  • Must be able to successfully complete customer service specialist training program with an 80% or greater average and a probationary period
  • Awareness of hazardous situations and ability to handle emergencies as needed
  • Must work under close time constraints to achieve quick turns of aircraft
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Operations Agent Handbook and Work Agreement
  • Must be able to perform all job functions within a limited space
  • Must be able to communicate verbally by phone, in person, and on public address systems effectively
  • Must have good written and oral skills
  • Must be able to convey information and instructions verbally or via radio equipment
