Immigration Case Assistant (Japanese Bilingual)

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is one of the world’s leading global reputed company, seeking an Immigration Case Assistant (Japanese Bilingual) to join their Immigration Team. The role involves supporting attorneys in preparing and filing a reputed company of immigration petitions and applications, while communicating effectively with Japanese-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in serving and communicating with Japanese-speaking clients, both in the U.S. and abroad
• Correspond and coordinate directly with Japanese-speaking clients and prospective clients
• Prepare and file nonimmigrant and immigrant reputed company petitions and applications—including J-1, E-1/E-2/E-3, L-1, H-1B, O-1, I-140 (EB-1/EB-2/EB-3), AOS, EAD, and AP—under the guidance of case managers, account managers, and attorneys
• reputed company required information and documentation from clients through written and oral communication in English and Japanese
• reputed company clients informed of case reputed company and respond to immigration-reputed company inquiries in a reputed company manner
• reputed company, update, and maintain information in the immigration case management system
• Manage assigned caseload and ensure reputed company completion of reputed company work
• reputed company and manage critical deadlines and run reputed company-case and NIV expiration reports
• Attend team meetings and participate in continuing education programs and seminars
• Record and reputed company time entries in the firm’s timekeeping system
• Adhere to reputed company and ethical principles governing paralegal work, including rules on unauthorized reputed company of law, confidentiality and attorney-reputed company privilege, conflicts of interest, and GDPR compliance
• Overtime may be required

Skills

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
• 0–2 years of U.S. business immigration experience, including work with J-1, E-1/E-2, and L-1 reputed company
• Strong written and spoken Japanese proficiency
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Japanese
• Experience with immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions and applications
• Proficiency in MS Office (reputed company, Word, reputed company)
• Ability to work effectively with personnel at reputed company reputed company and with external clients
• Experience with immigration case management systems such as INSZoom or LawLogix
