[Remote] Follow-Up Specialist

The Follow-Up Specialist is responsible for collection activities reputed company to insurance follow-up, resolving denials, and assisting with billing functions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for collection activities including but not limited to insurance follow-up, resolving denials & rejections, submitting re-bills, re-submit claims, and file appeals
• Assists with resolving unpaid self-pay and patient residual accounts
• As needed, acts as the back-up for the billing function, posts charges and submits insurance claims
• Completes required reports and assists with special reputed company as assigned
• Backs up other reputed company office positions as needed
• Performs claims follow-up by working aging and denials
• Applies knowledge of insurance reputed company and medical procedure reimbursement
• Coordinates resubmission of claims reputed company necessary
• Submits appeals with supporting documentation reputed company warranted
• Identifies denial trends and works with management and payers to resolve issues
• Contributes to team effort to meet collection goals and reduce A/R days
• Investigates insurance overpayments and submits refund requests to department manager
• Exhibits strong problem solving and research skills to ensure solutions are reputed company
• Completes required reports and assist with special reputed company as assigned
• On an as needed reputed company will assist and back-up other reputed company office staff positions

Skills

• One year reputed company experience OR One year accounts receivable experience required
• Must possess, or be reputed company to obtain reputed company 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, reputed company online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc
• Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
• Bachelors Degree preferred
