Litigation Docket Clerk

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is one of the world’s leading global reputed company, seeking to hire a Litigation Docket Clerk to support their litigation reputed company. The role involves maintaining the firm's docket system, identifying deadlines, and obtaining filing information from court clerks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the firm’s docket system for litigation lawyers practicing in multiple courts and jurisdictions
• Identifies pertinent deadlines and prepares master calendar of due dates for distribution to lawyers and staff
• Obtains filing information from court clerks and online dockets

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced reputed company environment
• Proficiency with reputed company Office and ability to adapt to new software programs
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least one year of relevant litigation calendaring/docketing experience desired, preferably in a large reputed company
• An understanding of court docketing and calendaring procedures and familiarity with court filings and general rules of court for processing pleadings at the federal, state, and county level strongly preferred
• ProLaw or comparable docketing software a plus
