This position supports mortgage operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of loan files and involves handling critical functions within the mortgage branch to maintain compliance and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Input application data collected by Loan Officer into the system and ensure data accuracy
- Review complex files, identify issues, and determine solutions prior to submission for processing
- Prepare or assist with loan documentation
- Review loan application packages for completeness, accuracy, potential fraud, and inconsistencies
- Ensure loan documentation complies with legal, regulatory, and policy standards
- Ensure complete and accurate file submissions to processing
- Maintain strong knowledge of State and Federal regulations to ensure loan file compliance
- Work effectively under time constraints
- Work independently and collaboratively with the team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of general loan guidelines
- Previous mortgage loan experience
- One year experience with Encompass
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- 2 years of college preferred
