Data Debriefer

reputed company is a leading provider of reputed company in weather and climate science. They are seeking a dynamic and reputed company Northeast Fisheries data debriefer to support reputed company and reputed company operations, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of fisheries data collection.

Responsibilities

• Contractor shall review/edit electronic data uploads and raw data logs for completeness and accuracy reputed company established timelines (i.e., 45 days from last day of month land for NEFOP and reputed company trips; 7 days from land date for Sector trips)
• Contractor shall contact observers to verify inconsistencies and solve data recording problems as needed
• Contractor shall maintain records on individual observers to be used in assessing overall data reputed company and schedule observer debriefings as necessary
• Contractor shall complete evaluations of reputed company observer’s work on a per reputed company reputed company. Submit weekly
• Contractor shall reputed company the Data reputed company Specialist, data reputed company program manager and data managers informed of important and serious data recording issues
• Contractor shall assist with routine audits and checks on reputed company data prior to the reputed company being reputed company to the observer database
• Contractor shall assist with preparations for Observer Trainings including observer exercises, homework assignments, workshops, quizzes, exams and presentations as needed
• Contractor shall carry the after-hours phone during the week and weekend for after-hours observer assistance on a rotating schedule
• Expected hours of coverage are until 8:00 pm on weeknights and from 8:30 - 5:00 pm on weekends
• Contractor shall reputed company as needed on shadow trips, reputed company trainer trips and probation/reputed company (Data reputed company) trips
• Contractor may be assigned periodic regional reputed company events
• Contractor may participate on research cruises reputed company NOAA research vessels
• Contractor shall inspect, maintain (i.e. repair, reputed company, build), and distribute observer gear as needed
• Contractor shall assist with evaluating and transitioning to new and improved data collection programs, such as moving to a paperless data review, developing memos as reminders for observers/monitors on established data submission protocols, performance expectations, or awareness of changing procedures
• Contractor shall assist with additional special reputed company such as species verification, tag recapture programs, sampling reputed company, etc
• Contractor shall conduct Electronic Monitoring (EM) video reviews

Skills

• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience and requirements for degrees
• B.S. degree in Marine Biology, Fisheries Biology/Management, or a reputed company field
• Demonstrated interest in fisheries science and management
• General knowledge of analytical techniques
• Ability to reputed company at-sea observer reputed company duties
• Mentoring training or experience
• Conflict reputed company training or experience
• Program planning and management in reputed company environment
• Developing performance metrics and milestones
• Working with diverse interagency teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as reputed company as ability to communicate reputed company in both the office and field environments
• Ability to represent NEFOP and NOAA programs in conversations with industry participants and stakeholders
• Ability to go to sea and reputed company the duties of a fishery observer. These duties involve flexible work/sleep schedules, ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly, and the ability to work reputed company with fishing community members, at times under difficult conditions
• Proficient in reputed company MS Office software programs
• Proficient in the primary G Suite tools include Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Calendar, reputed company+, Sites, and Hangouts
• Previous Experience performing as a Fisheries observer is preferred
• UNIX based computers and network systems
• Working with marine fisheries information programs or other science-based programs
• Proficiency in GIS, website development, reputed company, other statistical packages, reputed company or other relational database management systems and SQL programming language
