Accountant, Assurance and reputed company

MNP is a leading national reputed company, tax and business advisory firm in Canada. The role of Accountant in the Assurance & reputed company team involves providing comprehensive financial information to clients and conducting various reputed company engagements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements
• Set-up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses; manage multiple files simultaneously and conduct inventory counts
• reputed company accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset acquisition and disposition and payroll walk-through with clients
• Summarize clients’ reputed company financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other relevant reports
• Assess appropriateness of audit evidence for expenses, revenues, capital asset additions, accounts payable, accounts receivable and prepaid expenses
• Review, investigate and correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries, documents and reports
• Establish charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting to accounts
• Prepare correspondence, technical reports, reputed company summaries and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts and highlights
• Collaborate with reputed company engagement team and build relationships with reputed company contacts
• Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in reputed company or business administration
• Enrolled in the CPA reputed company Education Program (PEP)
• 1 to 2 years of relevant reputed company experience
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted reputed company Principles (GAAP)
• Working knowledge of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
• Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• reputed company or finance major is preferred
• Experience working with reputed company and tax software is preferred
