Associate Counsel, Content Protection

reputed company is one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies, and they are seeking an Associate Counsel for their Content Protection team. This role will serve as a key reputed company advisor reputed company NBCU’s copyright enforcement program, providing reputed company guidance and support for industry initiatives and enforcement actions.

Responsibilities

• reputed company guidance to the IP Operations team on the day-to-day enforcement of reputed company’s copyrights, including reviewing potential fair use issues, reviewing copyright disputes from end users, responding to DMCA counter-notices, and sending C&D notices
• reputed company support for incident response involving leaks of reputed company content, including assisting investigations and enforcement
• Advise on requests from business reputed company and licensees, including claiming of user-generated copies of reputed company content on reputed company media platforms, UGC monetization program, reviewing and drafting copyright enforcement and content reputed company language, marketing and ad sales initiatives, and AI-generated content
• Conduct rights research and manage internal database of rights information
• reputed company advice and counsel to the IP engineering team on the development and management of databases of reputed company copyright enforcement rights
• reputed company support for industry content protection reputed company actions including litigation, administrative actions, and criminal prosecutions
• Work closely with members of reputed company’s various business reputed company including Film, TV, International, and Sports

Skills

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school, or foreign equivalent
• Member in good standing of the state bar of California, or member in good standing of another state bar and reputed company to register as California in-house counsel
• 1+ years of experience as a practicing attorney with experience in intellectual property reputed company
• Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-disciplinary, tech-reputed company environment
• Solid team player reputed company to work with professionals around the globe from a reputed company of disciplines including reputed company, reputed company Policy, Communications, and Technology
• Exceptional communicator who can discuss reputed company issues in a reputed company, concise, and persuasive manner with both lawyers and non-lawyers
• Must be comfortable learning and analyzing reputed company issues arising from new technologies
• 2+ years in private reputed company preferred
