Lighting Designer

Lighting Beyond is a startup firm focused on innovative architectural lighting design, seeking a creative and technically-minded Architectural Lighting Designer. The role involves supporting projects from concept to completion, collaborating with the design team to develop lighting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of lighting design concepts for architectural projects
• Produce lighting layouts and technical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
• Prepare presentation materials, renderings, and reports
• Perform lighting calculations and photometric analysis
• Support the team in project documentation and coordination with architects and engineers
• Participate in internal design discussions and client meetings as needed
• Contribute to maintaining organized project files and documentation

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
• Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience working at a lighting company
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Interest in learning and growing within the field of architectural lighting
• Familiarity with AGI32 or other lighting calculation software
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Experience with Bluebeam for document review and markup
• A portfolio that demonstrates a mix of technical and creative lighting work
