Litigation Associate Attorney

They are currently seeking a smart and capable Litigation Associate Attorney to join their growing team, where every employee has the opportunity to make an impact. The role involves drafting pleadings, managing litigation processes, and participating in trials while maintaining regular client communication.
Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings (complaints, motions, oppositions)
- Draft and review discovery, meet and confer letters, and discovery motions
- Argue motion and opposition hearings remotely and in Court
- Take and defend percipient and expert depositions
- Prepare pre-trial documents and trial materials
- Active participation in trial
- Strategically litigate cases by obtaining key evidence to work up case file
- Draft mediation briefs and attend mediation, active participation in negotiating settlements
- Regular client communication
- Assist in management of litigation assistants and paralegals
- Attend regular trainings for professional development
Skills
- Candidate has a JD and is admitted to the California bar
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Highly motivated to learn and grow
- Very well organized
- Resourceful and persistent
- Civil litigation or personal injury experience is a plus
