Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced senior engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support for the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. You will also be expected to develop and implement engineering solutions, collaborate with manufacturers and regulatory authorities, and provide technical guidance to other engineers and technicians. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct training for technicians in areas of expertise
  • Act as a mentor to other engineers and provide technical guidance and support
  • Lead project management and issue resolution efforts
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Develop customized procedures and special instructions for repairs, modifications, inspections, and other maintenance activities
  • Stay informed about daily airline operations, including areas of responsibility, and review daily needs in accordance with aircraft/departmental goals and management directives
  • Analyze aircraft/part issues that may cause delays or cancellations, significant uses of labor or materials, or disruptions to maintenance activities, and determine appropriate corrective actions
  • Provide engineering support as needed to resolve discrepant situations affecting aircraft or parts and restore operational status
  • Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support operations or resolve issues
  • Develop action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or part engineering projects and pursue detailed implementations as per estimated needs
  • Coordinate with other airline departments, as necessary, to ensure effective and efficient implementation of engineering procedures
  • Prepare engineering documents to implement technical procedures by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental goals and management directives
  • Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensure that all engineering activities maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
  • Utilize available resources to build levels of technical expertise and practical experience consistently, and also strive to improve communication skills, time management, and other personal attributes relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties
  • Effectively engage with frontline colleagues and management similarly

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 1 year of engineering experience in a related field, or 2 years of experience without a degree
  • A&P license
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to analyze technical data and make data-driven decisions
  • Demonstrated ability, capacity, and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations that advance acceptance of proposals
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Additional years of engineering experience in a related field
  • Specialized training or certifications in areas such as aircraft maintenance, engineering, or project management
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience leading teams and guiding other engineers and technicians
