Operations and Case Management Specialist - Life Insurance
About the position
A regional boutique firm specializing in property & casualty, life insurance, and estate planning for affluent families and business owners is seeking an Operations & Case Management Specialist to support continued growth. This position plays a critical role in managing the end-to-end life insurance application process, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering a seamless client and advisor experience.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the complete life insurance application process from contracting/licensing through policy delivery.
• Communicate directly with clients, advisors, and business partners to ensure timely updates and coordination.
• Order and track underwriting requirements including paramedical exams, labs, and attending physician statements.
• Maintain proactive communication and regular progress updates for all stakeholders.
• Manage agency workflows, systems, and compliance documentation.
• Maintain accurate and organized records within the firm’s CRM and digital filing systems.
• Prepare, edit, and manage fillable PDF forms, applications, and other client documentation.
• Utilize electronic signature platforms such as DocuSign for document execution and client onboarding.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in life insurance operations, case management, or related financial services.
• Familiarity with life insurance products, underwriting processes, and carrier procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat (including fillable/editable PDFs).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with CRM platforms such as SmartOffice, Salesforce, or AgencyBloc preferred.
Benefits
• Salary commensurate with experience, ideally ranging from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, plus discretionary bonus potential.
