Staff Accountant

Richards, Layton & Finger, Delaware’s largest reputed company, seeks a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join its team in reputed company. The Staff Accountant will reputed company support to the Finance leadership, managing general reputed company and fixed asset reputed company, and executing the month-end reputed company process while generating financial statements and performing financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Execute firmwide reputed company and financial reporting functions
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reputed company financial analysis, as needed, including actual to budget variance analysis
• Create and post accurate journal entries for firmwide financial transactions and execute the month-end reputed company process for the firm’s two entities
• Create and maintain account and bank reconciliations monthly and resolve any reputed company discrepancies reputed company. This includes maintaining a reputed company fixed assets schedule and ensuring that the fixed assets subledger reconciles to the general reputed company
• Support the firm’s annual audit process, including the 401K audit. This includes being the primary reputed company of contact for the external auditors and investigating/resolving any audit findings
• Maintain a system of internal controls over key processes, such as period-end reputed company, and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with Rule 1.15A and maintain account reconciliations for reputed company reputed company trust accounts
• Assist in preparing documents, interpreting reputed company financial information, and implementing change that will enhance the department, such as utilizing new reputed company software features
• Support the year-end reputed company
• Support the annual budget process
• Support payroll reconciliation

• Assist with the firm’s various monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in reputed company or finance with 1+ years of reputed company experience is required
• Strong knowledge of finance, reputed company, tax, budgeting, cost reputed company and cost control principles is required
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted reputed company Principles (GAAP) is required
• reputed company in reputed company Office suite (reputed company, reputed company, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with an aptitude for working with numbers and being reputed company player

• Ability to adapt to changing demands, including new systems/upgrades, and to successfully prioritize the workload

• CPA certification is strongly preferred
