[Remote] Interim In-House Healthcare Commercial Contracting Attorney

Latitude Legal is seeking an Interim In-House Commercial Contracting Counsel to support their in-house legal team during a parental leave. The role involves guiding commercial strategy and advising on regulatory, SaaS, and healthcare contracting matters, requiring strong negotiation skills and experience with healthcare laws. Responsibilities • Draft, review, and negotiate inbound, outbound, and partnership commercial agreements, including MSAs, client agreements, SaaS agreements, vendor agreements, confidentiality agreements, and BAAs • Counsel product and operations teams on laws applicable to health plans, privacy, and intellectual property • Collaborate with internal and external experts to ensure commercial agreements appropriately manage risk and comply with laws, rules, and regulations • Build and support commercial legal strategy for the national sales team • Guide operations and product teams on SLAs and new/existing business arrangements • Troubleshoot commercial issues and propose practical, business-aligned solutions • Improve templates, playbooks, legal processes, and contracting workflows • Educate internal teams on contract terms, negotiation best practices, commercial implications, and legal risk • Serve as a trusted business partner to senior management across the enterprise Skills • 5+ years of experience practicing commercial contracting • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating SaaS, vendor, client, and partnership agreements • Proficiency with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, CAA, and related healthcare rules • Strong experience advising internal stakeholders across sales, product, operations, and executive teams • Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Licensed to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction • Outstanding professional references Benefits • Complimentary Group Life, LTD, and AD&D • Access to a qualified 401k plan • CLE and professional expense stipend for counsel Company Overview • Latitude is a legal services company that provides employing, in-house counseling, and law attorneys.
