Job Overview

We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to play a key role in our engineering staff, working across the organization to provide a seamless experience for our customers and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. As a Senior Engineer at arenaflex, you'll collaborate with various teams, including Salesforce CRM, Infrastructure, Architecture, Release Management, Application Security, and Business Product Owners, to develop and deliver critical solutions that transform and reimagine legacy workflows and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems that meet the needs of our customers and business
  • Build product definitions and leverage technical skills to drive towards the right solution, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle, including testing, to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Lead design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization and promote best practices
  • Define, create, and support reusable application components and patterns from a business and technology perspective, ensuring consistency and efficiency
  • Utilize developer tooling and a variety of Azure tools and services across the software development life cycle to perform advanced-level Java application design, implementation, and maintenance activities with minimal direction
  • Mentor other engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles and develop new skills
  • Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and learning

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Advanced programming experience with at least two modern languages, such as Java, C++, Python, or C#, including object-oriented design
  • Strong understanding of web service integration (REST/SOAP) and enterprise middleware integration tiers (Apache Camel, Spring, Spring Boot)
  • Experience using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, with preferred experience in Flutter and React
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead projects, interact with clients and sponsors, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience building the architecture and design of new and current systems, with a focus on reliability, scaling, and performance
  • Advanced understanding of DevOps concepts and cloud architecture, with experience in continuous delivery and infrastructure as code
  • Strong problem-solving ability, with the capacity to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience with Salesforce standard objects/records, custom object creation, validation rules, and relationships
  • Knowledge of building and configuring flows, and process builders in Salesforce
  • Experience with Salesforce Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, and Lightning Aura / LWC components
  • Experience with Salesforce CDP, with a focus on customer data management and analytics

Education and Experience

We're looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience. You should have:

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience with at least two modern languages, including object-oriented design
  • 3+ years of experience building the architecture and design of new and current systems
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
  • 2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, with a salary range of $66,000 - $185,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. You'll also be eligible for a range of benefits, including:
