Job Overview

In this exciting and rewarding role, you will be responsible for handling inbound calls from travelers and travel advisors, providing insurance quotes, and selling policies to customers. You will utilize a consultative sales approach to understand the traveler's needs and recommend an appropriate product to protect against risks associated with their upcoming travel. With a focus on delivering exceptional customer service, you will educate customers on the benefits and coverages of our travel insurance products, ensuring that they have the necessary protection and peace of mind for their travels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound calls from travelers and travel advisors, responding to inquiries and providing insurance quotes and policy sales
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand the traveler's needs and recommend suitable travel insurance products
  • Educate customers on the benefits and coverages of our travel insurance products, ensuring that they have the necessary protection and peace of mind for their travels
  • Meet state licensing requirements to sell insurance and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and trends
  • Respond to high-end clientele with professionalism, providing exceptional customer service and support
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong background in customer service, sales, and communication. You will be required to have:

  • A record of providing outstanding customer service (1+ years preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think outside the box and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Proven experience in sales, with a focus on consultative sales approaches
  • Ability to meet state licensing requirements to sell insurance
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in the travel industry, with knowledge of domestic or international travel and geography, is highly beneficial
