**Job Summary**
As a Senior Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for data entry of material from source documents to a computer-connected terminal. You will also operate an alphabetical/numerical keypunch machine, verify data, and perform clerical tasks in the data processing function. You will work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. You will also meet productivity standards as outlined in client metrics, identify any issues or trends, and bring them to the attention of the management team.
**Responsibilities**
* Responsible for data entry of material from source documents to a computer-connected terminal
* May operate an alphabetical/numerical keypunch machine
* Verifies data and performs clerical tasks in the data processing function
* Examines, revises, approves, and dispatches input and output materials according to established specifications
* Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
* Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments
* Works on assignments that are routine in nature, where limited judgment is required
* Meet productivity standards as outlined in client metrics
* Identify any issues or trends and bring them to the attention of the management team
* Work on special projects as assigned
* Other duties as assigned
**Requirements**
* High School Diploma/GED
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* 1 year of data entry experience
* Experience with using Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates), Microsoft Excel (data entry, sort, filter, and work within tables), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
* Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:00am-5:00pm
**Preferred Qualifications**
* 1 year of healthcare experience
* Previous experience with utilizing EPIC, Cerner, or other hospital applications
* Medical billing or claims experience
**Telecommuting Requirements**
* Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
* Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
* Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
**Compensation and Benefits**
* Hourly range: $16.00-$28.27 per hour (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington, or Rhode Island Residents Only)
