Staff Pharmacist – San Diego, CA, Amazon Pharmacy
Join Amazon Pharmacy as a Staff Pharmacist and help eliminate barriers to medication access. You will work in a fast‑moving environment, ensuring prescriptions are accurately processed, verified, and shipped to customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Management and maintenance of customer profiles in Pharmacy
OS.
• Initial prescription order processing and verification.
• Prescription transfer coordination.
• New prescription acquisition and processing.
• Focus on system‑based verification and documentation.
• Verify medication quality assurance for all packet and bulk dispenses.
• Collaborate with other staff pharmacists to ensure all packet and bulk sets undergo a thorough quality assurance check prior to shift end.
• Collaborate with other staff pharmacists to ensure all production relative to new business lines undergoes a thorough quality assurance check prior to shift end.
• Complete ancillary housekeeping pharmacy tasks including checking returns, inputting medication rejects, overseeing medication substitutions, and canister approval.
• Answer clinical questions and provide clinical guidance.
• Investigate errors and facilitate proper resolution and reporting.
• Collate and deliver pertinent pharmacy information to the distribution team.
• Ensure compliance with all company procedures, Federal/State laws, rules, and regulations.
• Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team to maintain customer satisfaction.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8‑hour shifts, starts 9 AM.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science or Pharm
D degree.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in the state of employment, with additional licenses as required if domicile state differs.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal and state regulations concerning patient care.
• Exemplary interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal communication.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Warehouse work, including ability to lift 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in LTC or retail pharmacy setting.
• Excellent communication skills.

Compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Base salary ranges from $93,400 per year in the lowest market to $161,000 per year in the highest market. Additional compensation such as equity, sign‑on payments, and other benefits may also be provided.
