[Remote] Software Development Engineer - Amazon Redshift, Query Processing

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join the Query Processing team of Amazon Redshift. This role involves building systems for Redshift clusters, defining new features and architecture, and leading engineering efforts to deliver high-impact projects. Responsibilities • Build systems that benefit Redshift clusters across the world • Take significant ownership on the overall product vision by defining new features and architecture • Distill complex and ambiguous requirements, converting them into meaningful projects that provide immense customer value • Own and code end-to-end deliverables from design, development, deployment, monitoring, and operations • Lead engineers on substantial projects and help develop a flourishing team through active mentoring and hiring Skills • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience • Experience programming with at least one software programming language • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Benefits • Equity • Sign-on payments • Full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits Company Overview • Launched in 2006, Amazon Web Services (AWS) began exposing key infrastructure services to businesses in the form of web services -- now widely known as cloud computing.
