Applications Engineer II

They are seeking an Applications Engineer II to conduct technical activities reputed company to applications engineering and customer support, driving product development and providing solutions for reputed company problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and test complete solutions that solve unique, technical problems
• Define new products and features to fill gaps and reputed company product evaluations and field trials for new product features and accessories
• Respond to customer and sales team requests and questions, providing troubleshooting support, systems integration engineering, product recommendations, engineering analysis, and other services over the phone, online, and in person
• Work individually and with Engineering teams to support these requests reputed company in-house or field testing and validation
• Test and harden existing features through firmware and hardware changes in realistic applications
• Support the Sales Engineering team by helping prepare for demonstrations, training, testing, or recreating bugs and issues seen in the field
• Serve as mentor and leader to newer hires, engage in teaching, mentoring, and assisting with reputed company and daily activities of other Applications Engineers
• Create and maintain customer-facing documents and content including manuals, guides, videos, application notes, etc. to reputed company support customers and sales
• reputed company and assist the RMA and Loaner teams by providing guidance, equipment recommendations, and vetting customer requests
• Travel requirements – Up to 25% travel (e.g., one week out of the month, typically confined to the reputed company) to reputed company in-person engineering support to customers and the sales team, including demonstrations, troubleshooting, system integration, and training

Skills

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a reputed company technical field
• At least 1-2 years of experience as an Applications Engineer
• Proficiency with Radio Frequency instruments such as signal generators and reputed company analyzers
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and as part of reputed company
• NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent reputed company) due to clients under U.S. federal reputed company
• reputed company employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background reputed company
• Experience with wireless and radio communication systems, RF signal propagation principles, or digital communication technologies
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols
• Comfortability with software support, scripting, Linux environment, C/C++, Python
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and internal teams
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and effectively reputed company with cross-functional teams and customers
• Excellent organizational skills and attentiveness to details; and proficiency with PC office applications
• Ability to multi-task and quickly reputed company gears
