AI Developer Intern

TerraPower is a nuclear technology company based in Bellevue, Washington, focused on advancing global energy deployment through innovative nuclear solutions. They are seeking a motivated AI Developer Intern to contribute to the design and development of AI chatbot platforms and specialized AI agents in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and implementation of internal AI agents and chatbot enhancements
• Collaborate with AI engineers and software developers to define agent functionality, APIs, and integrations
• Write clean, maintainable code using React, Python, and C#, following established coding and SDLC standards
• Participate in code reviews, version control, and documentation using GitHub
• Assist in testing, debugging, and deploying AI models and supporting services
• Work with the project management team to ensure timely and quality delivery of features in an agile sprint cycle
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and internal development best practices

Skills

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong foundational knowledge of software development principles and object-oriented programming
• Hands-on experience or coursework with: React (frontend development), Python (AI or backend scripting), C# (application logic and services), GitHub (version control and collaboration)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated with a strong interest in AI-driven software solutions
• Familiarity with API integration, cloud-based development, or chatbot frameworks is a plus
