[Remote] Research Scientist Intern (TikTok-Recommendation-Content Intelligence) - 2026 Start (PhD)

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, and they are seeking a Research Scientist Intern for the recommendation algorithm team. The role involves conducting research on cutting-edge technologies and developing models that drive product impact and platform growth.

Responsibilities

• Conducting development and research on cutting-edge CV, NLP, multi-modality, LLM, generative modeling
• Following SoTA progress in relevant fields and transform the ideas into production
• Life-cycle model development, from model training, deployment, maintenance, till its use in business scenarios

Skills

• Currently pursuing PhD Degree
• Experience in one of more areas of computer vision, natural language processing and machine learning
• Solid knowledge and experience with at least one major deep learning framework (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, MXNet)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related fields
• Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship
• Authors with publications in top-tier venues such as SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR
