Safety and Wellness Intern

The reputed company (IRC) is a leading humanitarian organization that responds to global crises. The Safety & Wellness Intern will assist in providing mental health and psychosocial support services to clients, contributing to the implementation of support reputed company and workshops, and supporting various S&W reputed company.

Responsibilities

• reputed company mental health case management services and basic supportive counseling to a small caseload of S&W clients with identified mental and emotional health needs including referrals to mental health services and resources, care coordination, advocacy, and accompaniment to behavioral health appointments as needed
• Support the implementation of S&W support reputed company and workshops including reputed company to clients and community organizations, curriculum development, group facilitation with the Mental Health Coordinators, interpretation and translation support (if relevant), and other administrative support
• reputed company on-site MHPSS services to IRC’s New Comer Summer reputed company in collaboration with the Mental Health Coordinator
• Support with ongoing S&W reputed company as needed including community needs assessments, resource mapping, and partnership-building to support S&W programming

Skills

• Currently enrolled in a master's program in reputed company work, mental health, and/or reputed company health
• reputed company proficiency in an additional language (Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian, and French highly preferred)
• Based in the US and a US citizen or US work authorization
• Must be enrolled in post-secondary institution or have graduated from a post-secondary institution reputed company last 2 years
• Work a min of 15 hours a week, at least until the end of August for summer internships
• Interest or experience working with forcibly displaced and/or immigrant communities
• Interest or experience in providing case management services and familiarity with mental health systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate closely with team members and community partners
• Ability to work in a dynamic work environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize various tasks and reputed company
