As a REMOTE Mortgage Underwriter, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily underwriting processes for Conventional, FHA, and VA loans, ensuring compliance with investor and agency guidelines. As a REMOTE Mortgage Underwriter, you will be an integral part of this process, utilizing your expertise to facilitate the mortgage underwriting process and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Underwriting and Decision-Making: Underwrite loans for compliance with investor and/or agency guidelines, submitting loans through an automated underwriting system for a decision. Loan Approval and Committee Presentations: Approve or pend loans, presenting appropriate loans daily to the loan committee for review and discussion. Branch Support and Problem-Solving: Assist branches with underwriting questions, scenarios, and problems, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations. Underwriting Turnaround and Efficiency: Maintain a 24-48 hour underwriting turnaround for new loans and resubmittals, ensuring timely and efficient processing. Office Operations and Maintenance: Operate office equipment and maintain the loan filing system, ensuring accuracy and organization. Essential Qualifications and Skills To excel as a REMOTE Mortgage Underwriter at Workwarp, you will need: FHA, DE, and/or VA SAR/LAPP Underwriter Approval: An approved FHA, DE (Direct Endorsed) and/or VA SAR/LAPP Underwriter, with a strong understanding of investor and agency guidelines. Excellent Customer Service Skills: Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Ability to collaborate and problem-solve with other mortgage partners, including branches and loan committee members. Attention to Detail and Accuracy: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations. Planning and Organizational Skills: Effective planning and organizational skills, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
